A Volkswagen declarou nessa sexta feira,11, que vai interromper a produção em 3, de suas 4 fábricas no país.
Por falta de chips que são utilizados diretamente na montagem dos seus automóveis. A montadora alemã por 10 dias a produção em São Bernardo do Campo (SP), São Carlos (SP) e São José dos Pinhais(PR).
No último dia de maio, ela já havia sinalizado que iria interromper as atividades de São José dos Pinhais e a fábrica de Taubaté.
A Volkswagen é apenas uma das montadoras que tem sido extremamente afetada pela falta de peças para finalizar a produção.
Entre elas, Honda, GM são algumas que das montadoras que já tiveram que interromper a sua produção. Lembrando que essas empresas tem uma grande pedida no mercado, uma vez que produzem modelos que normalmente são campeões de vendas, Gol, Honda Civic, e um dos mais vendidos, o Chevrolet Onix.
Abaixo, segue o comunicado divulgado pela Volkswagen:
“Uma escassez significativa de capacidades de semicondutores está levando a vários gargalos de fornecimento em muitas indústrias globalmente (telecomunicação, computação, eletroeletrônicos e smartphones). Isso também gerou problemas no abastecimento da indústria automotiva ao redor do mundo desde a virada do ano. O resultado são adaptações em toda a indústria na produção de automóveis, o que também afeta as marcas do Grupo Volkswagen.
“Nos últimos meses, o time da Volkswagen do Brasil tem trabalhado intensamente, em parceria com a matriz e fornecedores, para minimizar os efeitos da escassez de semicondutores para a produção em suas fábricas no Brasil. Entretanto, o cenário atual não demonstra o encaminhamento para uma solução definitiva visando a normalização do fornecimento de chips. Ao contrário, há sérios riscos de agravamento dessa situação nas próximas semanas.
“Com base nisso, a Volkswagen do Brasil comunica a paralisação das operações de suas áreas produtivas nas fábricas de São Bernardo do Campo e São Carlos, no Estado de São Paulo, e de São José dos Pinhais, no Estado do Paraná, a partir de 21 de junho, pelo período de 10 dias.
“Novas paralisações não estão descartadas futuramente caso o cenário global de fornecimento de semicondutores permaneça crítico, impactando diretamente as atividades de produção da empresa no Brasil.”
